The AANAPISI Bridge Initiative (ABI) welcomes interested faculty and staff to an open house to learn about the recently awarded 5-year Asian American Native American Pacific Islander Serving Institution (AANAPISI) Department of Education grant. This is a collaborative grant shared with the Hunter College AANAPISI Project (HCAP). Programming under the grant includes faculty and staff development, new programs supporting academic skills, research training and peer mentorship for transfer students, workshops on financial literacy, and a needs assessment of BMCC’s Asian American and Pacific Islander student body. While the grant’s focus is on Asian American and Pacific Islander students, grant activities are open to the BMCC community.
