The faculty handbook is intended to aid full time and adjunct faculty in familiarizing themselves with the College, and finding information to help get started and continue their career at the college.

A quick overview of BMCC resources and support services that help students succeed both inside and outside of the classroom. This guide provides brief descriptions of each service and/or resource, as well as contact information. Hard copies of the guide are available in Room S350 and each academic department.

Writing Across the Curriculum

Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) at BMCC is a resource for faculty members in all departments who are interested in promoting student learning through writing. Each semester, WAC trains a cohort of approximately ten faculty members in WAC pedagogy, enabling them to teach writing intensive (WI) courses.

CUNY-wide Resources

PSC-CUNY Adjunct Professional Development Fund
Adjuncts teaching 6 or more classroom hours can apply for professional grants of up to $3000. The grants can be used towards research, courses, conferences, field studies and other activities that will enhance adjunct professional development.

Other Resources

Faculty Resource Network

The Faculty Resource Network (FRN) is an NYU-based faculty development initiative that hosts lectures, symposia, and intensive seminars for member institutions. BMCC faculty have the opportunity to participate in programming such as the Visiting Scholars Programs and Faculty Enrichment Seminars.
