Description
Ungrading aims to center student learning by reducing the use of traditional, quantified grading in favor of methods such as low-stakes tasks, written and spoken feedback from the instructor and/or student peers, and various approaches to student reflection, self-assessment, and even self-grading. Have you been considering incorporating some form of ungrading in your classes, but are not quite sure where to start? Bring your syllabus and assignments to this coaching session and let’s talk about what ungrading might look like in your Spring 2023 class! We’ll be working with small groups of faculty in breakout rooms. Drop in any time between 1 and 3.
