Description
The enrollment crisis continues to plague colleges around the country, hitting community colleges even harder. Research shows resources should be allotted to better understand the needs of underrepresented and nontraditional students. However, it will take an all-hands-on-deck approach. Today’s instructors must be able to articulate their students’ needs and develop ways to engage them like never before.
In this session, we will:
- Review and discuss a case study
- Provide some best practices to engage students
- Demonstrate a collaborative learning activity to be used in various teaching modalities
