Description
Creativity is using our imagination to make, transform, design, build. It means transcending what is known to bring new ideas into being, to make something new or unique that is connected with the maker’s lived experience. This workshop will explore the techniques and strategies used to engage students in remote learning experiences designed to capture the joy and energy of art and nature, inspire creativity, and create a sense of community and collaboration. We will share artifacts gathered from two projects—a virtual museum visit and an urban nature walk—as well as student reflections on their virtual creative arts experiences and discuss how to integrate the creative arts into a remote learning curriculum.
