Description
Hudson River Park is located just across West Street from BMCC and there are many Park programs for BMCC faculty and students to take part in. Did you know that the Park has a Visiting Scientist Program? Or that the Park is a unique location for college student field trips, internships and research opportunities? In this workshop, the Park’s River Project will share inspiring ways for BMCC faculty and students to engage in Park research, education and sustainability programs. Let’s partner as neighbors to facilitate meaningful projects, apply for grants, enrich student experience and exchange expertise to advance shared goals in research, education, community building and job training. We’ll share current programs and then head to breakout rooms for small group discussions focused on education & evaluation, sustainability & social science, and data & natural science. Bring your ideas and collaborative spirit to jump start this budding partnership!
