Add to Calendar: Google Outlook Apple

Facilitator
Eryn Barker (Hypothesis)

Description
Learn about Hypothesis, a new tool in Blackboard that enables students to collaboratively annotate text. Eryn will discuss how collaborative annotation with Hypothesis can be used in the STEM disciplines, drawing on examples such as annotating primary scientific literature, collaboratively solving math problems, and asking questions about content in an OER textbook

After her presentation, Eryn will demonstrate how to get started with Hypothesis and will lead participants in a discussion about how Hypothesis collaborative annotation can be used in their specific disciplines and with their specific teaching and learning objectives. Participants can expect to come away from this session with a clear idea about how they can start incorporating collaborative annotation into their courses to improve student success.
