Description
Computational thinking is a framework that students can utilize to solve complex problems and apply across disciplines and in many types of settings, even ones far removed from computer science. Using computational thinking, students learn how to break down a problem into smaller parts, identify patterns, and abstract those patterns to develop innovative solutions, skills which are applicable inside and outside of the classroom.

As a follow-up to our Fall 2022 Faculty Development Day presentation, we invite BMCC faculty to participate in a longer form, paid summer/fall professional development opportunity to incorporate computational thinking in their classes. With support from project leaders, participants will collaboratively develop and implement activities engaging students in computational thinking in their classrooms. Join us on Zoom on Thursday, April 27th 1pm-2:30pm to learn more about this paid opportunity.
