Description

Do you want to:

  • motivate students to ask for help and try new strategies when facing a challenge?
  • increase engagement and confidence?
  • improve persistence and overall performance?

Join us for an interactive workshop on the Learning Mindset GPS framework. This evidence-based framework can help instructors influence students to better performance. It was developed by Motivate Lab at the University of Virginia, and has been implemented across CUNY and nationwide.

The workshop includes a brief and interactive introduction to the key components of the GPS framework: Growth Mindset; Purpose and Relevance; and Sense of Belonging. We’ll explore what each mindset is and how you can manifest them in the live or online classroom. Then, we will test your recall with a Jeopardy! game.

Join us to improve your pedagogy, connect with other dedicated instructors, and grow your brain.
