Description
The purpose of this professional development is to present and discuss research findings pertaining to the assessment of CUNY’s disability services website information variability. The research found great variability among the websites of the disability services, including the type of information available, the language and nomenclature used, ease of access, range of services, types of assistive technologies, and other resources. Participants will be presented with the findings and will have opportunities to discuss the impact on students with disabilities in higher education. Participants will also have an opportunity to brainstorm solutions to things such as naming disability services offices.
