Description
We often emphasize the significance of amplifying student voices. In this Inquirer Talk, Mateo Sancho Cardiel will provide a hands-on demonstration of how you can take this notion literally. By bringing podcasting into the classroom, we can:
- Enhance engagement;
- Promote content review;
- Provide a portable and shareable format;
- Expand literacy skills:
- Encourage creativity and human involvement!
Come brainstorm ways you can bring podcasting into your classroom!
This session is part of the Inquirer Talks series highlighting the work of faculty who have published pieces in BMCC’s Inquirer. Read related Inquirer piece “Put a Mic on It! How to Introduce Podcasting into Your Class.”
The Inquirer is a journal devoted to teaching, learning, and scholarship at BMCC. We aim to be a medium for the exchange of teaching ideas and support, as well as a resource where faculty can develop ideas to move their research forward. The Inquirer’s faculty editors welcome submissions on faculty development and pedagogy relevant to teaching at the community college and BMCC specifically. Submissions are accepted until mid-February of each year. See our call for proposals webpage for additional information about the process and the range of potential topics.
