The Online Teaching Exchange is an opportunity for BMCC faculty to share ideas about teaching online and remote classes. In this session, we’ll hear how two faculty members are building community in their classrooms, then open things up for discussion. J.F. Grasso will share how he welcomes students to his class and how he uses Discord for class communication. Angela Polite will share a class opening activity called “The Quarantine Chronicles,” which incorporates trauma-informed pedagogy
