Description
Wikipedia assignments are one way of engaging students as knowledge creators. When students write or edit Wikipedia articles, they learn important research skills and share their knowledge with a worldwide audience. In this workshop, led by LaGuardia Community College librarian Ann Matsuuchi, you’ll see examples of Wikipedia assignments undertaken by CUNY faculty and students and will learn about what goes into planning these assignments. There will be some guided hands-on time for you to sketch out a potential assignment for one of your fall classes.

Part of Open Teaching Week.
