BMCC is a large institution that can feel overwhelming, especially for new students. In this interview, Cara Kronen and Jennifer Gilken share how the Teacher Education department provides a welcoming space for  students who are new to BMCC. Accepted Students Day is an opportunity for newly accepted students to learn what BMCC has to offer and meet the faculty. Students who decide to come to BMCC are invited to a departmental orientation at the beginning of the semester. This orientation is intended to create a space of belonging where students can connect with one another.
