Since the launch of BMCC’s Open/Alternative Textbook Program in spring 2015, BMCC faculty have been leading CUNY in converting materials for their courses from commercial textbooks to open educational resources (OER) and other no-cost materials available online and through the Library. In 2017-2018, we are expanding on the work of more than 70 pioneering BMCC faculty through three programs: Achieving the Dream OER Degree Program, NY State OER Fund, and the Gates Foundation Waymaker Study.
