Description
The Committee on Race, Equity and Inclusion, the BMCC Library and CETLS are co-sponsoring a bell hooks Book Club for the  Spring 2022 semester. To honor Dr. hooks’ legacy and to further our work on culturally relevant, anti-racist, and trauma-informed pedagogy, the participants will read “Teaching to Transgress: Education as the Practice of Freedom.”

We will hold an organizing session on Thursday, February 10 at 3:00 for anyone who is interested where we will decide on how many zoom sessions to hold, how to organize the discussions, and how to simultaneously hold an online asynchronous discussion. We will hold our first zoom discussion on March 3 at 3:00. All are welcome.
