Description
Do your course documents need a glow-up? Learn how to design visually engaging syllabi (example) and other course documents (example) using PowerPoint and Canva. We’ll focus on form, such as fonts, formats, and general aesthetics, rather than content, and we’ll collaboratively create a syllabus in Canva from scratch.
This session is part of the Inquirer Talks series highlighting the work of faculty who have published pieces in BMCC’s Inquirer. Read the full article, entitled “Does Your Syllabus Need a Glow Up?”
The Inquirer is a journal devoted to teaching, learning, and scholarship at BMCC. We aim to be a medium for the exchange of teaching ideas and support, as well as a resource where faculty can develop ideas to move their research forward. The Inquirer’s faculty editors welcome submissions on faculty development and pedagogy relevant to teaching at the community college and BMCC specifically. Submissions are accepted until mid-February of each year. See our call for proposals webpage for additional information about the process and the range of potential topics.
